||| PADI SWIMMING REQUIREMENTS TO LEARNING SCUBA DIVEBefore applying for the PADI Open Water Scuba Diver course, you will have to demonstrate adequate water skills and be at a certain level of swimming. Your diving course instructor will need to be sure that you are safe and strong in the water.
For safety reasons, there are some minimum swimming requirements. The most important thing is your level of comfort in the water. The more comfortable you are in the water, the more enjoyable your dives and course will be. If you are not at the necessary level yet, then taking some swimming lessons will help improve your skills and confidence ahead of your course. What is the PADI test? These are the requirements that all participants must be able to perform in order to take a PADI course:
