Paul started competing in swimming from the age of 8 for his town, and eventually went on to represent his county and country all over the world. The natural progression for Paul was to study a Sports Science and Exercise Physiology degree at Leeds University. Apart from being an ASA qualified teacher and coach, during his time at University, Paul specialised in Aquatics and the Biomechanics of Swimming and produced numerous theses on swimming performance. For a number of years, Paul was a Further Education lecturer in Sports Science and Health & Fitness courses at Hendon College, London. With such a background in biomechanics and sports science, he has in depth technical knowledge of all swimming strokes, and has personally coached British, European and World Masters Champions and Record Holders, Head Coach to Middlesex County Team Masters Champions and also Paralympic Gold, Silver and Bronze medallists. Paul has 0ver 20 years experience as a professional swimming coach at all levels and has coached various triathlon clubs. |
