Lillie has always loved to swim but loves teaching swimming even more. She started swimming as her mum was a swimming coach and competed till the age of 18. This drive in sport allowed Lillie to move into athletics and continued in competitive sport as a 100 metre sprint runner and made it onto the English National Team in this event. Sadly whilst training for 2012 London Olympics, she ruptured her Achilles tendon and needed immediate surgery. Following this operation, Lillie returned to the water and started to rehabilitate her Achilles heel. Lillie has also studied at the Brit School for college and the Royal Academy of Music for university. During this time she worked as a lifeguard and then assisting her mum during her coaching sessions with her swim club. This eventually pushed Lillie to qualify with her own swim teaching and coaching qualifications and hasn’t looked back since. She has taught many well-known and influential adult clients over the years and has gained some truly amazing friends on the way. Lillie also qualified as a fin swimming teacher at this time. “I really love to help people and find it thrilling to see clients build their confidence in the water. Having the opportunity to give people my experience throughout their lives makes my job more than worthwhile!” |
