Front crawl master class for open water swimming
Having swum as a teenager with a local club, I hadn't swum for over 30 years.
After signing up to a challenge to swim a mile in open water, which I completed swimming by swimming breaststroke, I got hooked and decided I wanted to swim front crawl "properly". I signed up for a course of sessions with Strictly Swimming and they filled me with confidence and provided me with expert coaching on improving my technique through drills and time trials.
My goal was to swim the whole open water mile front crawl the following year, and with coaching from Strictly Swimming I succeeded in doing this in around 34 minutes which I was delighted with but I then wanted to improve my time. After having regular sessions with Strictly Swimming I got a Personal Best this year of under 28 minutes. I have also now gone on to complete my first 3.8k open water swim, which I really enjoyed and I am now considering setting my goals to some longer distances.
Strictly Swimming's coaches have a wealth of experience and have enthusiastically encouraged me to reach my goals and beyond. Four year's ago I would never have believed that I would be swimming at the level I am (not top level, but a huge improvement for me), but that I am enjoying my sessions so much that I want to continue improving.
Thank you Strictly Swimming.
